She has a particular interest in progressing our understanding of the anaesthetic management of patients with sepsis. Carolina is also interested in the anaesthetic management of patients with liver and renal disease.

Andrew has an interest in all things anaesthesia and pain management, but is particularly interested in locoregional anaesthesia, anaesthesia for the critically ill patient and cardiothoracic anaesthesia. Andrew's research is predominantly focused on ultrasound-guided locoregional techniques in small animals, particularly the use of the Erector Spinae Plane block for patients undergoing spinal surgery.

Daniel is part of the Anaesthesia service at the QMHA and the RVC's Equine Hospital. He has a particular interest in any current or new techniques that reduce pain in his patients such as loco-regional anaesthesia. He is also interested in looking at new ways of assessing levels of pain in animals with the aim of being able to treat pain sooner.
