• Our Emergency Referral Service is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Emergency admissions are triaged, stabilised and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit if required
  • Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit are staffed by a dedicated team of veterinary specialist led vets and nurses 24 hours a day
  • Multidisciplinary approach ensures that cases have input or are managed by the appropriate veterinary specialists and their teams
  • Referring veterinary surgeons can ring our dedicated Emergency Referral line to speak with an ECC vet directly or receive a call back within 2 hours. A conversation with an ECC vet will establish:

    • Cost estimation
    • Identification of suspected infectious cases that require isolation or other special measures on arrival to us
    • Transfer of diagnostic imaging and other results to complete the history
  • We aim to update our referring vets whose patients remain under the care of the Critical Care team on Mon/Wed/Fri
  • A discharge report will be sent within 48hrs after the patient has left the hospital.
