Veterinary Orthopaedic Service

As one of the leading veterinary orthopaedic services in the world, we tackle an extensive range of musculoskeletal conditions in dogs and cats, including joint disease, angular limb deformities and acute traumas such as broken legs. Our orthopaedic specialists have expertise in veterinary osteoarthritis and developmental diseases of bones and joints. The team works closely with our imagers at Queen Mother Hospital for Animals to ensure the best approaches to treatment.

Service information

As a large team of specialists, we have extensive experience and are equipped to perform all veterinary orthopaedic surgery, including cranial cruciate disease management, elbow dysplasia management and hip dysplasia management.

Our specialists are at the cutting-edge of research in the field, which allows them to offer the most advanced and effective treatments to our cat and dog patients.

 

Aftercare and rehabilitation

Working in conjunction with colleagues in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Service, we help devise physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and rehabilitation packages to encourage pets and working dogs to maintain maximum function.

Our in-house diagnostic imaging service works closely with specialist veterinary orthopaedic surgeons

Our veterinary orthopaedic service is supported 24 hours a day by our anaesthesia team, providing the highest standards of care
