Eligibility:  The RVC Sutton Trust Summer School is intended to support young people from under-represented backgrounds in higher education. To participate in this activity you must attend a non-selective state school and meet a number of other Widening Participation eligibility criteria such as being the first in the family to go to university, being eligible for Free School Meals, or living in an area with low progression rates to higher education. For more information, please visit the Sutton Trust website

Details: The RVC Sutton Trust Summer School gives students a real experience of university life studying Veterinary Medicine, Biosciences and Veterinary Nursing. This year ,Year 12 students will be welcomed to the Summer School with an online launch event and some online content to work through in their own time during the week commencing 18th July. They will then enjoy four residential days at our Camden or Hawkshead Campuses from the 25th-28th of July and will finish with a final day online on the 29th of July.

As well as taking part in online lectures and Q&A with our world-leading researchers, students will get the opportunity to visit our campus for hands-on experiences in our teaching labs, clinical skills and equine center, anatomy museum and with our animals at the farm! They'll receive personal support to reach career goals and navigate the university application process. Work together to create group projects, solve veterinary case studies, and enjoy student social activities!  

The cost will be covered by the RVC and the Sutton Trust.
