How to accept your offer

If you decide that the RVC is for you, we would be delighted to welcome you into our world-renowned community.

To formally accept, you'll need to log on to your UCAS portal and accept the offer as either your firm or insurance choice.

Ensure you do this by the deadline enforced by UCAS - this deadline will be determined by the date you receive your final offer; this year the deadlines are:

If you receive your last decision on or before  your reply date is

OR

If you receive your last decision on or before  your reply date is

For more information, please visit the UCAS website on 'Replying to your UCAS Undergraduate offers'.

If you would like to have the RVC as your first choice for university, you should state it as your firm choice.

If you would like your RVC to be your second choice, you should select it as your insurance choice on UCAS.

Please note that you cannot chose between your firm and insurance choice on results day – if your grades meet the grade requirements for your firm choice your place at that university will be confirmed. You will only gain a place at your insurance university if your grades don’t meet the requirements of your firm choice, but still meet the grade requirements of the insurance.

Deferred Entry

If you decide you would like to push back your studies by a year (known as deferring), you may email the admission department requesting a deferred entry: admissions@rvc.ac.uk.

However, this does not guarantee your deferral will be permitted, and the Admissions team will consider requests on a case-by-case basis. We recommend requests are made as early as possible and by 30th June at the latest.

Useful Information

Ensure you carefully check what documents the RVC requires and meet the deadline; otherwise, we may no longer be able to offer you a place.
