It is RVC policy to charge and collect on all fees owing for courses. Fees are approved by the RVC Council (its governing body) and variations to fees for individual students may only be approved by the RVC Principal or his nominee. The amount of tuition fees due, and the due date, will be shown to you as part of the online enrolment process.

The appropriate procedures for payment of fees, collection of fees, withdrawals and calculation of refunds are included within the full Student Fees Policy document.

Student Fees Policy and Regulations

Each year the College publishes an updated student fees policy. The following policy covers students enrolling or re-enrolling for the 2023/24 academic year.

The College has General Regulations and Awards that cover Tuition Fees and Debt as well as academic matters.

The Regulations are available here: General Regulations for Study and Award.

Tuition Fee Payment Methods

Student Loan Company

New students - If the full fee is being paid directly by the Student Loans Company please bring the SLC Payment Advice confirmation letter with you to enrolment.

Continuing students - you do not need to provide the SLC Payment Advice confirmation letter but we may ask to view this letter if we need to.

Sponsor

If your fee is being paid by an external or internal sponsor, you must provide a completed Sponsorship form 23/24 or Sponsorship form 24/25. Alternatively you can produce an official letter from your sponsor confirming the amount and duration of tuition fees they are paying. The Sponsorship forms above applies even if you are sponsored by the RVC, in which case it must be completed by your Head of Department.

New students - please bring official sponsor letter or sponsorship form with you to enrolment day.

Continuing students - unless your initial letter specifies sponsorship is for the whole duration of your course, you will need to supply a new proof of sponsorship letter/form for each subsequent academic year during re-enrolment.

Online Payment by Credit or Debit Card

The RVC uses Global Pay for Students (GPfS) for the payment of tuition fees. The system accepts payment by card or by bank transfer, allowing you to pay tuition fees in full or make individual instalment payments. GPfS is provided by Convera (formerly Western Union Business Solutions): further details about Convera are available here.

GPfS offers the following options in most locations around the world.

You can make a payment from any bank with no GBP fees charged.

  1. Pay Online from your Bank Account
You can pay online from your own bank account using the GPfS system.
  2. Pay Online by Debit or Credit Card
The RVC accepts all major Debit and Credit Cards (excluding American Express) via GPfS.
  3. Pay your Tuition Fees using your preferred Currency
Depending on where you are paying your fees from, you may be able to pay in another currency: the GBP amount you have specified will be paid to the RVC. If you use this option your quoted exchange rate through GPfS will be valid for 72 hours. Convera guarantees to match the cost of making a foreign currency transfer to the RVC by any other method – this is their Student Price Promise.

The Royal Veterinary College will only accept payment using the methods listed above.

For your own safety and security please do not bring cash into the UK to fund your college fees.

We do not accept cheques or drafts as a payment method.

Penalties/Charges

The College reserves the right to charge a penalty fee of £200 if you fail to pay the required fee by the due date.
