Please note the RVC's Academic Quality Assurance and Enhancement procedure for the Design and Approval of Courses, is under review - contact the Academic Quality Manager for further information.

As part of the RVC’s goal to be a leading innovator in the delivery of high quality programmes in veterinary education and associated subjects, the RVC will continue to expand and consolidate its portfolio of programmes targeted at those involved in the delivery of veterinary science and services.

The design, development and approval of taught courses at the RVC is governed by the College’s Academic Quality Assurance and Enhancement procedure for the Design and Approval of Courses (currently under review), which includes details of the RVC’s processes for:
  • The design and development of new course proposals
  • The approval of new course proposals and of changes to existing courses
  • The implementation of new courses post-approval
  • Review of this procedure.

The Design and Approval of Courses procedure may on occasion run in parallel with the RVC’s process for Module Development and Approval (currently under review). Where both these processes/procedures apply this is made clear at the appropriate points within the documents.

The Design and Approval of Courses procedure may also be considered in conjunction with the RVC’s procedure for Collaborative Provision (currently under review), to which extensive links are included in this procedure.

Supplemental forms to be used during the course approval process are hyper-linked to within the Design and Approval of Courses procedure and are also available below.
