To be eligible to apply for any of the above scholarships you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must ‘firmly’ accept an offer of a place at the Royal Veterinary College on an eligible programme and subsequently meet your offer conditions to enrol
  • You should be a home (UK) undergraduate
  • You must have an assessed household income of £65,000 pa or less each year if residing in a Greater London Borough or £45,000 pa or less each year if outside of London and sign a document to confirm this
  • You must have given Student Finance England or equivalent ‘consent to share’ your financial information with the College in order to confirm your household income after enrolment
  • You must live in an area with a POLAR4 score of 1 or an area with an Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) quintile score of 1. (ROR scholarship only)

All offer holders will be invited to apply in the Spring (as long as they meet the above criteria). Applicants must submit a supporting statement for why they deserve the scholarship and full details of what to include will be given in the invitation to apply.

Alongside your application you will be asked to provide a signed statement that your household income is equal to or below either one of the above thresholds, as relevant, and this information will be verified in September once you have enrolled, and we have access to your financial information. If it is found that your household income is above the threshold, we will withdraw the scholarship and grant it to our reserve candidate.
