Online fundraising has become very popular in the past few years. Online fundraising allows your event or challenge to be even more visible, and it can make it easier for your supporters to sponsor you.

Online fundraising pages

If you are looking to raise as much money as you can and keep your supporters up-to-date with your efforts, an online fundraising page is the perfect place to start.

Popular websites, such as Virgin Money Giving and JustGiving allow you to create a page for your challenge or event, set a fundraising target, and tell potential supporters about why you are raising money, and what the Animal Care Trust means to you.

Promoting your fundraising

Getting the word out about your fundraising can be daunting, but it is a really important part of raising as much money as you possibly can. Some good ways to promote your fundraising online is through your social media accounts; Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter for example.

You can often ‘share’ your online fundraising page directly to your social media accounts, so you do not have to do too much extra work!

Fundraising through social media

If you have a birthday or an event coming up, you can set up a Facebook fundraiser. When setting up a Facebook fundraiser, you can tell your potential supporters about why you are raising money and what for, set a fundraising target, and set a deadline.

Once you have created your fundraiser, you can share it to your Facebook friends, and start to collect donations. Once your fundraiser is over, you have nothing else to worry about as Facebook will send the funds raised directly to us.
