BOOK YOUR TICKETS

We are unable to guarantee your place if you do not book by the deadline.

Student number

You will need your student number to log into the system to book your tickets. Your qualifying award and ceremony details should then automatically appear. If you do not know your student number, this can be found on RoVer.

Terms & conditions of booking and attendance

By booking and attending a Graduation ceremony you are consenting to take part in a public event which will be filmed, photographed and live streamed. These ceremonies are public events and therefore there is no expectation of privacy under data protection legislation for any attendees. After the event a copy of the livestreamed video will be publicly available to view and will remain on the RVC page(s) under our newsfeed(s). YouTube/Facebook has its own Privacy Policy which can be read here. Please make sure that you inform any guests that you are booking tickets for that this is the case.

If you apply to attend a Graduation ceremony, your full name, first name, middle name or names and degree including honours may be printed in or on an insert in the souvenir programme. The name used will be based upon your answer to the question on the booking form as to how you wish your name to be read out during the ceremony. You must inform the Events team in writing to graduation@rvc.ac.uk before the application deadline if you wish to opt out of your name being published in this way.

Tickets

Up to two free guest tickets and one additional ticket charged at £30.00. There will be a waiting list option for additional tickets.  We will notify you if there are additional tickets available to purchase via the email address you book with after the 24th May 2024.

Guest tickets

As well as your own ticket, you are able to book a maximum of two free guest tickets and one paid for ticket at £30.   Please specify any access requirements your guests may have so that we can allocate appropriate seating. You will be asked if you would like more tickets (at £30 each) at the time of booking and should any become available you will be notified when they are released for sale. This will be after the 24th May 2024. The information will be sent to the email address you originally booked with so please check your email on 25th May 2024.

If you would like additional supporters to see your ceremony the link to the livestream will be available at www.rvc.ac.uk/graduation, the feed will begin just before the ceremonies commence.

Babies and small children

Children and young babies are permitted to attend, however please note that children over two years old must have their own ticket due to the venue’s health and safety requirements. A parent and baby/child room will be available in Central Hall. Children attending are the responsibility of you/your guests and if they are noisy during the ceremony, we will expect the child to be removed until they are quiet, please.

Tickets/wristbands

On arrival at the QEII Conference Centre please state you are here for the RVC Graduation ceremony.  Upon entry, head for the registration desk where you will be given wristbands for your guests which will enable their entry to Central Hall Westminster for the ceremony. Once registered you will then be able to collect your gown and have photographs taken at the QEII Conference Centre.

Accessibility

Both venues are fully accessible with spaces available for wheelchair users.

If guests or graduands have access and mobility requirements, it is essential that the student/graduand provides details upon booking so appropriate seats can be allocated.   If you require an additional seat during the ceremony for a carer, this will need to be agreed with the Graduation team in advance to guarantee a seat.  Please note that only the carer and the guest with access requirements will be able to sit in the designated area.  Your other guests will be seated elsewhere. Please email  graduation@rvc.ac.uk – we cannot accommodate last minute requests due to venue capacity.

2. Gown, photography and souvenirs

Your Gown

Gowns are obligatory and must be pre-ordered at the time of booking your place at Graduation.

Once ordered, gowns will be available for collection from the QEII Conference Centre after you have registered on the day of your ceremony.

When ordering your gown, you will need:

  • Height
  • Chest measurement
  • Hat size (please note hats are not worn during the ceremony but may be worn for photography and before and after the ceremony if you so wish)
  • Payment details

Your Photography

Professional photographs are optional, but if you would like to book a session this must be pre-ordered at least 48 hours before the ceremony.  Book here  https://marstonevents.com/RVC when you order your gown.  It will be possible to amend photography packages or add additional photographs after this deadline but no later than 48 hours before the event, providing you log back into the system using your original details

Please be aware that these services will be delivered on a first-come-first-served basis on the day.   Photography will take place in the QEII venue once you have registered and collected your gown.

Graduation Souvenirs

The full range of RVC branded gifts are available to purchase online prior to Graduation here.  Items can either be posted or we can arrange for you to collect on the day of your ceremony from our merchandise stand at the venue.

To use the ‘collect at Graduation’ service please order before Wednesday 3rd July and remember to select ‘collect items from Graduation’ as the delivery address. Alternatively, items can be sent to the Hawkshead and Camden post rooms for you to collect, free of charge.  These items must be collected within 30 days of the ceremony.  Failure to do so will result in the items being put back into stock with no refund.

There will be a range of our Graduation gifts available to purchase on the day. All profits from these sales go towards supporting our students through the Alumni Fund, including student wellbeing, bursaries and teaching and learning funds.
