Bryony Jones, a researcher in the VEEPH Group, has been awarded the British Veterinary Association's (BVA) Trevor Blackburn Award which is made to a member of BVA in recognition of contributions to animal health and welfare in a developing country. Bryony was given the award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to animal health and welfare in Africa and for the impact of her work in animal disease control, particularly her work in helping to eradicate Rinderpest from Sudan during its 1983 – 2005 civil war.

Congratulations to Bryony on this great achievement which recognises all her hard work and effort.
