Recognition awarded to Danilo Faccenda
During the 61st Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society held in New Orleans Lousiana, USA Danilo Faccenda received the honorable mention in Bioenergetics for his contribution to the elucidation of the molecular regulation of the mitochondrial ATP synthase in the pathophysiology of mammals.
This is a recognition awarded to young bio-energetists which stemmed from the work Danilo conducted as a PhD student at the Royal Veterinary College where he is now a Post Doctoral Research Assistant working on the recently awarded Petplan Charitable Trust funded grant entitled “Endocrine Therapy Validation in Canine Mammary Tumours by targeting the mitochondrial protein TSPO” with Dr M Campanella and Professor K Smith.
