Your generous donations help us to support thousands of poorly pets each year, giving our patients access to innovative treatments and the best facilities to keep them comfortable while they are in our care. It is only thanks to the overwhelming loyalty and generosity of our supporters that the Royal Veterinary College can keep advancing veterinary medicine and saving animals’ lives.

You might choose to give a single amount today, or perhaps you are looking to support us more regularly with a monthly gift. However you choose to support us, your donations will make a huge difference.

Give As You Earn (payroll giving)

Donating from your payroll is a great, tax-free, way for you to help animals. It benefits our work enormously as it provides a regular income, allowing us to plan effectively for the future so we can make sure that we will always be there for animals in need.

Payroll giving donations are taken from your salary or company/personal pension after your National Insurance contributions are removed, but before Income Tax is calculated and deducted. So for every £1 you donate it only costs you 80p if you are a basic rate tax payer – less if you’re on a higher rate. The Animal Care Trust still receives the full £1, at no cost to you.

How does it work?

If you are a 20% taxpayer, 80% of your donation amount will be taken from your salary and 20% will be taken from the tax which would have gone to HMRC. A £20 donation will cost you £16 - but we will still receive £20 because the £4 which would have otherwise gone to the tax man goes to us instead.

How do I sign up?

To take advantage of this fantastic giving opportunity, just follow three simple steps on the Charities Aid Foundation website where you can also find more information about the scheme. The charity details you need to sign up can be found on our Contact us page.

Please have your debit or credit card to hand when you call.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01707 666237 or email us and we will be very glad to help.

Whatever you can afford to give will make a difference and be hugely appreciated.

Thank you.
