Join us for a Veterinary Nursing taster lecture at the RVC, led by Lyn O’Byrne, and experience a session inspired by real teaching from the course.

This session introduces our BVetMed with Integrated Foundation Year, a new programme designed for international students who may not meet the usual subject requirements for direct entry. It provides a direct pathway into our veterinary degree, helping you build the knowledge needed for degree-level study.

You will learn how the foundation year prepares you for the course, how the six-year programme is structured, and what to expect as you progress through your studies. We’ll also look at how the course supports your transition into the main BVetMed programme, alongside the teaching and guidance available throughout.

Thinking about studying animal behaviour, welfare or ethics?

Join us for an Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics taster lecture at the RVC, hosted by Dr Andrew Crump, and get an insight into real teaching from the course.

This session explores the concept of animal sentience, how scientists investigate whether animals can experience feelings such as pleasure and pain, and the types of evidence used across a range of species, including invertebrates.
You’ll also consider how this research connects to real-world decisions, including its influence on animal welfare policy, as well as the ethical questions that arise when thinking about how animals are treated in areas such as farming, research and everyday life.

Alongside the lecture, you’ll be introduced to our Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare, and Ethics course and have the chance to hear about studying at the RVC.
