The Open House is an opportunity for prospective students, parents/guardians and advisors to learn more about the RVC, our undergraduate courses on offer and application process through a Welcome Presentation and the historic London Campus and/or rural Hertfordshire Campus. RVC support staff will also be available and on-hand at both campuses to answer any questions you may have.

The tour of the Hertfordshire Campus, which stretches over 575 acres, will explore the brand-new Student Learning Centre, hospital and clinical teaching facilities, laboratories, sports centre, select on-site accommodation and student wellbeing spaces.      The Open House will enable guests to discover first-hand what life is like as an RVC student.   NB: Guests can personalise their visit based on course of interest: The RVC’s London Campus is home to all of the BSc and MSci Biological Sciences Pathways (except the final year of the Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics programme), the Veterinary Gateway programme, Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) programme and Year 1 of the Graduate Accelerated BVetMed. The RVC’s Hertfordshire Campus is home to all Veterinary Nursing Pathways, the final year of the Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics programme and the final three years of all Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed & BVSc) Pathways.

Pathway: Campus

  • Biological Sciences Pathways: Camden Campus (The final year of Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare & Ethics is taught at Hawkshead)
  • Veterinary Nursing Pathways: Hawkshead Campus
  • Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) Pathways: Camden & Hawkshead Campus

Choosing Time Slots

Please note, if you plan to visit both campuses you are responsible for organising transportation, typically this would take around 1 hour. Travel via train (Kings Cross Station to Potters Bar Station and vice-versa) is highly recommended and as such we suggest selecting slots with at least a 1-1.5 hour gap due to the time taken to get from campus to campus.

Note: These are NOT Open Days (see panels above). You will not have an opportunity to speak to RVC academic staff, however, we will have Support Staff on hand to answer any questions and the tours will be led by current students - so that you can hear what it is like to study on our programmes. Unfortunately we are not able to conduct individual tours, these are the only dates on which tours of either campus are available (unless you are travelling from overseas, in which case we will do our best to accommodate tour requests).

If you have any questions or would like any more information, please email openday@rvc.ac.uk or telephone 020 7468 1257.
