Using the History

In this instance we have had a relatively simple case.  The owner was particularly lucid and we have been able to present the case to you in a fairly straightforward form.

lucid owner

Often in practice this will not be the case - the owners may not be well informed and may not be able to express themselves particularly well.  You may find history taking will take longer or be more complex.

Whatever the case, it is essential that you persist and get a really good history, which you can analyse to form a basis for your further diagnostic procedures.

We suggest that you now review the information provided in the video sequences and summarise (mentally or on paper) what you have learned.
