Animal Academy is a fantastic opportunity for young people who are interested in becoming a Vet, Vet Nurse or Bioscientist!
The programme is made up of three events that feature different aspects of studying animal science subjects at university. The first looks at animal handling, discussing the background knowledge of animal behaviour so you can keep yourself and the animals safe, as well as giving you the confidence to work with different species. The second is a late lecture from an RVC scientist which will give you a taster of real university life. Finally, our last event focuses on skills that you may need in animal related careers such as specimen identification, basic dissection, and using lab equipment. We hope that by the end of the 3 events you will feel welcome in the university environment, as well as excited and confident in pursuing your career in animal science. You must be able to commit to the three event dates to be selected for the programme.
