Jude is a member of the RVC's LIVE where she is co-lead for Principles of Veterinary Practice on the BVetMed/BVSc programmes and also teaches on the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Education. Her interests lie in the importance of primary veterinary care, inclusivity and competency-based assessment.

Jude graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010 and worked in primary care veterinary practice before returning to Liverpool to complete her internship in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital. She continued to work in primary care practice and completed her CertAVP in Small Animal Medicine in 2015. After many years working as a Senior Vet, supporting students and new graduates, she shifted her work pattern to a blended role of clinical practice and education initially working as an examiner for the RCVS and then as a Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing at Nottingham Trent University. In 2021, she was appointed the RCVS Examinations Manager and ran the Statutory Membership Examination for overseas veterinarians before joining the RVC full-time in 2023 and completing her Diploma in Veterinary Education.

She continues to support and examine on the RCVS Statutory and CertAVP exams, and is also an external examiner for one of the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies CertAVP modules.

Jude's clinical research interests lie within the epidemiology of disease in primary care practice using the VetCompass Programme. She has been a member of the Hot Dogs research group since 2020, contributing to evidence-based research in risk factors, management and clinical grading of heat related illness in dogs.

Jude's education research interests lie in inclusivity in veterinary education, in particular in relation to competency-based assessment.

Jude is co-lead for the Principles of Veterinary Practice (PVP) strand on the BVetMed/BVSc programmes which integrates professional skills with the rest of the curriculum in a primary care focused approach. She is an advocate for interprofessional education and provides support and teaching on the RVC's veterinary nursing programme, as well as organising additional opportunities for the veterinary and vet nursing students to learn together.

On the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Education, Jude is involved in the delivery of the units/modules relating to Assessment and Feedback, which are key areas of interest to her. She has also led international workshops and supported institutions using OSCEs in veterinary education to consider feasible ways to make them more inclusive.
