Lecturer in Farm Animal Pathology

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 2017. Since then I have been trained and worked in veterinary anatomic pathology and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) in 2022.I became a member of the RCVS and joined the RVC in early 2022 as a Teaching Fellow in Farm Animal Pathology and some months later I was promoted to Lecturer. I am currently responsible for post mortem examinations of various domestic animal species and disease surveillance of livestock and diagnostics.

My research areas of interest include infectious diseases of livestock and wildlife, particularly viral diseases. Through my current part-time PhD I am studying the neuropathogenesis of HPAI.

I am currently lecturing Anatomic Pathology to BVetMed students and I am also part of the teaching staff involved with the intercalated BSc in Comparative Pathology. In 2023 I obtained the PGCert(VetEd) and became a fellow of the HEA.
