You must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
If you are not exempt from proving your English language proficiency, you must take an IELTS-Academic test (from the British Council). You need to achieve an overall score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each sub-test, and the test result must have been obtained within 2 years prior to the start-date of the course.
Please note: Clinical Training Internship positions will require an overall score of 7.5 with a minimum of 7 in each sub-test. Our Clinical Training residences and internships also require applicants to be registered, or eligible to be registered, with the RCVS, and you would therefore additionally need to meet the RCVS English language requirements.
You will not need to take an IELTS-Academic test if...
- You are from a country listed as exempt by the UKVI .
- You have completed a recent qualification (NQF level 6 or above) equivalent to a UK degree in a country listed as exempt by the UKVI within the 2 years prior to the proposed date of enrolment.
