As Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Planning), I oversee the Financial Planning team with the following responsibilities:

  • financial budgeting and planning (including 5 year financial forecasting)

  • external reporting to OfS, Research England and HESA, including the Transparent Approach to Costing Return, HESA Finance Record and the HE-BCI survey

  • management accounts reporting (capital and revenue)

  • business partnering and financial advice

 

I joined the Finance Department in March 2007 as the new Finance Planning Officer later moving into the role of Management Accountant (Learning and Student Experience) and subsequently Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Planning). Having joined the RVC shortly after graduating from Cardiff University, with a degree in Accountancy and Management,  I am now a CIMA qualified chartered management accountant.
