Katharine is the Director of General Practice for the RVC, overseeing the Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital in Camden, Acorn House Veterinary Hospital in Bedford and the care provided by the RVC at charity practices across Central London and in Cambridgeshire.

Katharine has worked in general practice since her graduation from Cambridge University in 2023, initially in mixed practice and later in solely small animal practice. She obtained Postgraduate Certificates in Small Animal Medicine in 2007 and Small Animal Surgery in 2015. Katharine also holds an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln and has worked as a behavioural consultant for Boehringher Ingelheim. 

Katharine has held a position on the Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee (Essex) since 2020 and is also a peer reviewer, new graduate advisor and regulatory committee member for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. She has had articles published in Companion, In Practice, The Veterinary Times and pet owner publications. In 2024 Katharine was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in recognition of her contribution to clinical practice.
