Emma is a Senior Teaching Fellow with teaching responsibility across the early years of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine course. She is co-year leader of the Graduate Accelerated BVetMed course and is based at our Camden campus.
Emma graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. The following year she completed a Junior Clinical Training Scholarship in Equine Studies at the RVC before spending five years in first opinion veterinary practice both in UK and overseas. Emma joined the RVC’s Comparative Biomedical Sciences department in 2015 as an anatomy demonstrator and has progressed her teaching career to Senior Teaching Fellow, while completing her MSc in Veterinary Education in 2023. Emma is a practicing member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Emma’s main teaching focus is across the early years of the BVetMed course but also involved in BSc Biological and Bioveterinary Sciences, and Gateway to BVetMed courses based at our Camden campus. She is a co-year leader of the Graduate Accelerated BVetMed course as well as Integrated & Applied Anatomy (IAA) leader, and deputy Endocrine Leader for the early years. Emma teaches basic science topics including anatomy and physiology and has interests in neurology, integrated, structure and function, as well as pedagogy. Emma contributes to curriculum development, particularly for the Graduate Accelerated BVetMed course.
