Elisabetta is a lecturer in Exotics and Small Mammal Medicine and Surgery at the RVC.

Elisabetta graduated from the University of Naples “Federico II” in Italy in 2002. Her passion for exotic animal medicine emerged soon after graduation, setting the stage for a career focused on non-conventional species. Following a small animal internship, she has worked exclusively with exotic animals since 2003.

In 2007, Elisabetta relocated to the UK, where she initially worked in private practice and with wildlife charities. In 2009, she began the first European College of Zoological Medicine (ECZM) Residency in Small Mammal Medicine, which she completed at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. She was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Zoological Medicine in September 2010 and obtained the ECZM Diploma in Small Mammal Medicine and Surgery in 2014.

Elisabetta currently serves as a Lecturer in Exotic Species and Small Mammal Medicine and Surgery at the Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital, Royal Veterinary College in London, and as a Senior Clinician at Valley Exotics, Valley Veterinary Hospital in Cardiff.
