Feedback from 2024:

"More than ever now I want to be a vet and was great to spend the last few days with like minded people."

"It was very hands on and gave me the experience of what being a vet is like"

"I loved every second of it so much."

"I made lots of new friends and we are already talking about going together on the Y11 summer camp next year."

Eligibility: The Year 10 Easter School is intended to support pupils currently in Year 10 from under-represented backgrounds in higher education. To participate in this activity you must attend a state school and meet a number of other Widening Participation eligibility criteria such as being the first in the family to go to university, being eligible for Free School Meals, or living in an area with low progression rates to higher education.

The two day 2023 Year 10 Easter School will take place at our Camden Campus in London, where students will take part in lectures, practicals and Q&As with our world-leading researchers. We will focus on hands-on experiences in our labs, anatomy museum and with our animals, and they’ll get the chance to meet current RVC students, other young people with a passion for animals and professionals working in a range of animal science careers. Students will work together to solve veterinary case studies, reflect on career goals and how to achieve them and enjoy student social activities!

Please note, the following expenses are covered: Food and drinks whilst on campus, transport to and from the campus, all equipment and activities.

If you are a teacher, adviser or learner who is interested in finding out more about the Year 10 Summer School, please contact us at schools@rvc.ac.uk.
