Neuromuscular research at the College covers fundamental physiology research of muscle, neuromuscular transmission and peripheral nerves and associated diseases. We utilise molecular, cellular and whole animal approaches to investigation of aetiology and pathophysiology of disease. We have a strong translational theme aimed at investigating and testing novel disease treatments of relevance to both human and animal neuromuscular disorders.
