   CLASSNOTES
   Rebecca Kitchen
I was a 2013 graduate and my now husband (Ross Kitchen) was a 2014 graduate. We met in my third year and we got married in the summer of 2016.
Allison Smurthwaite Grange
My husband Andrew Grange and I met while studying at RVC (class of 07 and 08). We started dating in 2004 and got married in 2008. We are now living in CA and have a four year old daughter and
a one year old son.
David Killick
Was tied to Laura Buckley on the freshers pub crawl in 1998. This is our 20th year together!
Michael Woodhouse
Met during freshers week 2001, been together ever since. Married since 2011.
Edward Chinn
Sophia Brown and I graduated in 2001, married 2005 (I think!). Three children.
Nicola Hoad
I met Michael Hoad at Kings Cross station on the first freshers trip to the
pub. Tried to keep it a secret so we weren’t ‘the couple’ from day one. My friends thought he fancied me but I wasn’t interested so I obviously did a better job of pretending!! Now been married for 14 years with two lovely children.
Nikolai Athron and Joanne Nott (2007)
Joanne was born and raised in Devon, and I was born and raised in Mexico City until the age of 11. I then moved to the UK (Hampshire) and as luck and hard work would have it we were fortunate to gain a place at the RVC and become lifelong partners and veterinary surgeons.
Joanne and I met at the RVC in 2003. Joanne in her first year and myself in the second year. I am very fortunate
to have met Joanne, as I was meant to be revising for second year finals. True to the RVC team spirit of ‘work hard and play hard’, we met at the Ministry of Sound celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday. At the
RVC, Jo played and captained the RVC Netball first team and I played for the hockey team. I intercalated in philosophy at KCL and then we graduated together in 2007. We have been inseparable since June 2003.
Lucy Faul
Kieran was a VetSci that I met in my second year of vet school. We are happily married.
Susie Rees
Got together fresher’s pub crawl 1995, he was third year I was second, married 2002.
Tom Butler
I graduated 2002, my wife graduated 2004.
Tory Darke
RVC ‘96 graduate went to BVA congress as a steward and met
a Cambridge student in September ‘93, married September ‘97 – four boys and two branch practice later .....
In 2007 we sat our NAVLES and CA State Board Exam together and began our American Adventure in autumn 2007. Firstly practicing in San Diego for two years, followed by Seattle
for the last eight years. We have two young daughters Isabelle (four) and Myla (one) and recently decided to move back to the UK to be closer to the children’s grandparents (and RVC CPD of course!)
We are so very grateful to the RVC and feel very privileged for the Veterinary education it provided us, and the opportunities it afforded us to meet each other and make lifelong friends.
Thanks again RVC for the love of play and vet work that was instilled in us both.
