The Paradox

Despite being the most accessible organ in the body the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease are commonly mismanaged.

Two important factors are that:

  • Both owner and vet can see the lesions and the pressure is on to make a diagnosis

  • The superficial appearance of the lesion(s) can be very deceptive.  Skin can only react to injury in a limited number of ways and thus different diseases can look very similar
