The Approach to Diagnosis (1
of 2)
The
Paradox
Despite being the most accessible organ in the body
the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease are commonly mismanaged.
|
|
|
|
Two important factors are that:
-
Both owner and vet can see the lesions and the pressure is
on to make a diagnosis
-
The superficial appearance of the lesion(s) can be very deceptive.
Skin can only react to injury in a limited number of ways
and thus different diseases can look very similar
