Welcome to Extended Induction - a  six-week programme of events and activities to help new students settle into life at the RVC.

The programme has been carefully put together to reflect the overall RVC Learning and Wellbeing themes of Live Well, Study Well and Be Well, and these are colour-coded in the timetables.

Each week also has its own individual theme - see the weekly timetables below.

Week 1 (1st to 5th October) - My RVC

The focus of this week is on getting the students to feel part of the community, creating a sense of belonging and starting the learning journey.

Week 3 (15th to 19th October) - RVC Explore

The aim of this week is to encourage the students to become familiar with being at university, their new surrounding environment and helping with potential feelings of being homesick.

Pop up which will sign post students to places to study both on and off campus.  Students will be provided with information on local options and hints and tips for a suitable and healthy working environment.  We will ask students for any personal recommendations.

Week 4 (22nd to 26th October) - RVC Living: Food, Friends, Finance

The aim of this week is to get the students to starting thinking about long term health and wellbeing. Especially important as this is when the feeling of being overwhelmed can begin to creep in, or perhaps realising that their money needs to last a little longer.

15:50 Visit to St. Paul's Cathedral for Evensong St Paul's Cathedral have kindly offered to save some seating for us at their Evensong service on this date. If you'd like to join us as we go into this phenomenal space and share in their traditional choral evensong.  Evensong starts at 5pm, arrival time at St Paul's by 4.30pm the latest.  Meet at reception in Camden at 3.50pm to depart by 4.00pm.
