Eligibility: To participate in this activity you must be a state school and meet a number of additional Widening Participation criteria.


Delivered by a Science Researcher at the RVC, this activity provides a taster of university-level learning. Students will develop a greater understanding of the science which underpins veterinary medicine, direct from our academic, and will take part in a real practical in a teaching laboratory.

Previous topics have included "Reproduction" led by Professor Robert Abayasekarah and "Microbiology" led by Dr Sharon Kendall.


This activity provides a taster of university level learning and emphasises the importance of chemistry in veterinary medicine. Students will develop a greater understanding of the chemistry which underpins veterinary medicine and take part in a practical in a teaching laboratory led by an RVC Science Technician.

Please note, applicants to the Veterinary Medicine programme who have undertaken A levels need to study both Biology and Chemistry.
