 FUNDRAISING
Make every mile count
A s far as running challenges go, it doesn’t get much better than the unbeatable atmosphere of the Virgin Money London Marathon. But don’t just take our word for
it – one of our London Marathon 2019 runners tells you about her experience...
Eloise Nice
“Wow, where to begin? Firstly, an enormous THANK YOU! The London Marathon was tremendous and emotional and just one of the best and hardest moments of my life. It was a street party like no other.
“Magnificent drumming bands, amazing charities everywhere you looked, singers, bagpipers, Jamaican beats, Indian dance. Everything
you could want in a world where kindness and generosity overtook everything. People of all
ages, colour, and ability. I welled up on multiple occasions. I felt so, so lucky. This was mirrored in the crowd. It amazed me how so many people had given up their time to watch us idiots run around and were so willing to share their food and drink with complete strangers.
“If anyone reading this or having watched it thinks for just one single second they could have a go, I assure you that you could. It won’t be easy, but it is very achievable. You will never regret that you did it and it will be one of the best things you will ever do!
EVENTS
“Finally, thank you to the Royal Veterinary College Animal Care Trust for giving me this opportunity and believing in me. I felt honoured to represent you. May the future be bright for animals everywhere. In memory of a small ‘Bear’, my dog Andy.”
