Welcome to your Spring 2016 edition of Paws and Hooves, a round-up of both the impressive progress you have contributed to at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and of course the ways in which you can continue to get involved and impact animal health and care.
In 2015 over £400,000 of donations were invested in making the RVC’s veterinary hospitals the best possible place for pets to come to when sick or injured.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I hope you enjoy reading how
your donations, fundraising, recycling and shopping contribute to the unbeaten standards of care the RVC’s hospitals provide to furry friends across the UK.
I hope that we can rely on your continued support through this very special year in which we are celebrating two important anniversaries: The RVC’s Queen Mother Hospital for Animals’ (QMHA) 30th anniversary and the wider College’s 225th anniversary. Both are remarkable milestones in our organisation’s long history of veterinary care and education.
A HUGE thank you once again for everything you do to support our cause, we’re deeply grateful and couldn’t help so many sick animals without you.

Here is the RVC Animal Care Trust team in the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals on the launch of our 30th birthday appeal for the hospital. Clients, staff and students enjoyed birthday cake kindly donated to us
by London Colney Sainsbury’s, as we were successfully voted their Local Charity of the Year in July 2015!
