How you can help
Join our team...
...of dedicated supporters who raise extraordinary amounts of money by taking part in extraordinary sporting events!
Our amazing supporters raised over £20,000 in 2015 by taking part in organised sporting events. We want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who supported us in this way, including Richard Kennedy and Nicola Haberland who were part of our 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon team and ran as part of their brave bid to run four marathons in four weeks to raise money for the ACT. They managed to nish all of them in less than four hours including personal bests – amazing! The RVC’s principal, Prof. Stuart Reid, was also part of our 2015 Marathon team and raised almost £3,000 for the ACT.
If you fancy getting involved in 2016, check out the list below for just a few of the events on offer. Please visit www.rvc.ac.uk/act/how-you-can-help/fundraise/challenge-events for more details or contact us on act@rvc.ac.uk.

Choose your own challenge!
If you have your own place in an event, why not make it even more meaningful by raising money for the ACT? 2013 RVC alumnus and ACT supporter Andy Banerjee took part in the inaugural L’Etape London cycling event in September 2015, raising money for our work improving animal health and care. Here is what he had to say about the experience:
“Having taken up cycling only nine months before, I decided to start training for my rst sportive. I completed my chosen 92 mile course in 5:23:46 and the atmosphere was amazing! Dawn and the ACT team were wonderful with giving me support, fundraising advice and even arranged for a cycling jersey for me! I felt very proud and honoured to ride the roads of Essex along the route of some of my cycling heroes with the ACT colours on my back.”
