  FUNDRAISING FOR THE FUTURE
Fundraising can be challenging, but it is always hugely rewarding – not just because of the incredible teams we are able to support at the RVC as a result, but because of the amazing people we meet who support us in so many different ways.
Whatever time you have, however regular your donations, every supporter plays a vital role in funding the care that the RVC provides to thousands of poorly pets each year.
If you’re wondering how you can make a difference, then why not choose just one of these simple options:
• Make a one off donation or set up a regular donation
• Dedicate a leaf on our Memory Tree
• Leave a gift in your will
• Join Team ACT at the Royal Parks Half Marathon or the London Marathon
• Run your own event such as a pub quiz, fashion show or bake off
• Encourage your child’s school to support us
• Nominate us as your company’s ‘Charity of the Year’ • Hold a Facebook birthday fundraiser
• Buy a Christmas Raffle ticket
• Donate raffle prizes, ’in-kind’ support or your time
Looking to the future...
‘Tap to donate’ boxes will be arriving at the Small Animal Referrals Hospital making it easier to donate using a debit or credit card.
The RVC Animal Care Trust is registered with the Fundraising Regulator which means we also adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice. We are also part of the Fundraising Preference Service which enables any individual to opt out of receiving fundraising communications from us.
We fundraise by encouraging donations through appeals and newsletters, promoting gifts in wills (legacies
have a tremendous impact on our work), recruiting supporters to take part in events for us where they raise sponsorship and holding an annual raffle. We also create tailored fundraising proposals for charitable trusts and foundations, companies and major donors. Appropriate due diligence is always carried out in relation to our larger funders adhering to an agreed policy.
In 2019, over 8,000 of you set up a regular donation, dedicated a leaf on our Memory Tree, responded to our newsletters and appeals, chose us as your charity of the year at work, donated from a trust to help us to fund vital research and medical equipment, pushed yourself to the limit by running for us or by competing in Tough Mudder, shared our stories on social media to help raise awareness
of our charity...and the list goes on and on. •
We continue to be inspired by the lengths our supporters will go to to raise money for the ACT and we are so grateful to each and every one of you.
• We are really enjoying interacting with so many of our supporters online. Make sure you follow us on social media to hear the latest news, events and stories.
• Events such as the Virgin London Marathon and our own Mucky Pup Fun Run will continue to raise additional vital funding while allowing you the opportunity to challenge yourself in the process.
