Advice for animal owners

Following government guidelines we are currently open for emergencies and urgent veterinary care only.
All routine appointments will have to be rearranged or cancelled. We will contact you if you already have an appointment scheduled with us.
As with any public health concern, we need to minimise its impact and reduce the possibility of exposure in appropriate ways within our hospitals.

Animal owners who have symptoms of COVID-19 must NOT come into our hospital (symptoms include fever and a cough)

If you are self-isolating and your pet requires treatment, please contact us on 01707 666399.
If you are unsure about your symptoms please refer to the NHS advice: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19
We ask that only one person accompanies your animal to the visit.
Please call when you arrive at hospital reception on and then wait in your car, the consultation with proceed by telephone and we will collect your animal from your car for examination.
Clients are not allowed to enter the hospital.

Consultations by Telephone

Some of our hospital services are adjusting their methods of client consultations in light of the current Government COVID guidance regarding clients staying at home.
In some instances, we may conduct appointments by telephone. This approach is highly dependent on the nature of your animal's situation and condition so the relevant service will contact you to update you accordingly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Advice for referring vets

Following government guidelines we are currently open for emergencies and urgent veterinary care only.

We might NOT be able to accept certain emergency referrals depending on our own staffing levels and capacity.
Please speak to our Emergency Team if you have an emergency case.

Please advise your clients that they should NOT come to the hospital if they are self-isolating or have symptoms of COVID-19 and to seek an alternative party to bring your animal to us.

We ask that only one person accompanies the animal to the visit.
