This Search Engine is for searching the Dentistry course only. It will not search the rest of the RVC Website.
The Dentistry Search uses the Boolean operators AND, OR and NOT.
Typing test AND tube will retrieve all documents containing both the word 'test' and the word 'tube' but not documents containing only one of those words.
Typing test OR tube will retrieve all documents containing either the word 'test' or the word 'tube' as well as documents containing both.
Typing test NOT tube will retrieve all documents containing the word 'test' that do not also contain the word 'tube'.
The Dentistry Search Engine uses stem searching by default. This means that if you type test the Search Engine will retrieve not only all documents containing the word 'test' but also all documents containing the words 'tested', 'testing' and 'tests', as well as words like 'testament' and 'testimony'.
If you wish to to do a precise search, e.g. for the word 'test', but not for any of the variants listed above, you can do this by surrounding the word with double quotes, like this; "test".
Searches are not case sensitive.
The asterisk character is a wildcard, which can stand for any other character or characters. Typing h*matology will retrieve all documents containing the words 'haematology' and 'hematology'.
