The Group specialises in postgraduate training in veterinary epidemiology and public health at various levels as follows:

MSc Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates

Individual 240-hour modules of the MSc/Diploma/Certificate Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health (Distance Learning) may also be studied as stand-alone modules, allowing students to sample a discrete learning unit before committing to a full programme. 35-hour and 50-hour modules are also offered to enable students to sample one element of the 240-hour individual modules.

We are an ECVPH-approved training institute for the Population Medicine sub-speciality. For more information about the RVC training program please contact Dr Ana Mateus.

We offer three-year residencies in Wildlife Population Health, in collaboration with the Zoological Society of London following the curriculum of the European College of Veterinary Public Health. Opportunities typically arise every three years, dependent on availability of funding. For further information, please contact Dr Julian Drewe.

PhDs and MPhils

PhD and MPhil training are provided as part of specific research projects. For further information please contact our Admissions team.

Customised short courses

In addition to the above training, members of the Group regularly run customised postgraduate short courses on a wide variety of epidemiological techniques, such as risk analysis and spatial analysis. To discuss the possibility of arranging a customised short course, please contact Dr Christine Thuranira-McKeever.
