The research performed in the Tendon Mechanobiology group, led by Chavaunne Thorpe, is focussed on investigating the roles of tendon cell populations in tendon homeostasis, repair and regeneration, with a particular interest in the resident progenitor cell population.

She uses a combination of large and small animal models to understand how tendon cell populations respond to mechanical loading, ageing and injury.
