Karen is co-head of the Emergency Referrals and Critical Care services. She is particularly interested in fluid therapy, analgesia and cardiac emergencies. She has a particular interest in progressing our understanding of cardiac emergencies in dogs and cats. Karen is also interested in the management of anaemia and coagulopathies through the development of the transfusion medicine service.
Ursula is a boarded Diplomate of both the American and European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and a Recognised RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology.Her special interests include corneal disease and corneal surgery, feline ophthalmology and, in particular, glaucoma.
Kata is particularly interested in local anaesthetic techniques, quantitative sensory testing methods and acute and chronic pain management. She has a particular interest in progressing our understanding of pain pathophysiology in animals. Kata is also interested in the application of alternative therapeutic options for pain relief.
Anke is has a particular interest in progressing our understanding of the host-microbe interface in dogs with atopic dermatitis. Anke is also interested in the welfare aspects of chronic skin and ear disease.
Ross has a particular interest in microbial infections of the skin, whether caused by bacteria or fungi, and their role in the exacerbation of pruritic and allergic skin diseases, and in otitis externa and media.
