So many people to thank from our lovely security gate team, to our Dog Show organisers, stall holders, volunteers and agility demonstrators, not forgetting our amazing Pups and their owners who ran and 'showed' so brilliantly!

It’s back and bigger than ever!

Last year, over 400 runners and their pups ran, walked and stumbled their way across our 2 mile Mucky Pup course and raised a magnificent £10,000 for the ACT. This year, it’s back and bigger than ever as we plan a new 2km course at home in the beautiful grounds of the RVC.

This is the perfect event for the whole family, including your 4-legged friend and this year there is a brand new Dog Show as well as our popular demonstrations and delicious food.

So come along and enjoy the perfect summer’s day with the whole family- it’s the only way to spend Father’s Day this year with a few sneaky treats for the Dads too!

SIGNING UP!
Online registration for this year's event is now CLOSED. BUT, you can still register on the day- simply arrive at registration desks at 10am. Adults £10, children and dogs go FREE!

The price of your ticket covers our costs- your fundraising is what will make all the difference to the ACT’s support of the incredible work of the RVC. Please raise as much as you can- we will send you a special fundraising pack when you register and are here to help you throughout!

ON THE DAY:

10:00- 10:30- Registration- ALL Mucky Pup Fun Run participants must arrive at this time

10:30-11:15- Grab a coffee & cake and watch our demos, visit attractions and enter the Dog Show. Dog Show entries can be made on the day, or online with your fun run tickets.

11:15- Mucky Pup warm up

11:30- Mucky Pup fun run- START- Fast runners

11:35- Mucky Pup fun run- START- Families

12:15- Prize ceremony for Mucky Pup Fun Run winners

12.30-14:00- Dog Show

14:00- Event closes.

The small print:

All participants to wear bib numbers if they want to take part- bibs and pins will be provided.

The ground will be uneven in places and there may be steps, gates and bridges along the route.

All children to be accompanied by an adult.

All dogs to be kept on leads/harnesses.

Part of the route may be near a railway line; there is fencing preventing any access however it may be noisy.

Not recommended for dogs younger than 1 year old.

Pick up after your dog. Bins will be provided.

First aiders and a Vet will be on site in case of emergencies.

The Fun Run isn't timed.

Paddling pools will be provided for dogs to cool down in if necessary, and water will be provided along the route and at the finish line.

No refunds will be given.

Timings may vary slightly on the day.

Online ticket sales end 14th June 2018. All tickets after this date are purchasable on the day.

The fun run starts at 11:15am, if you wish to take part you must arrive before 10:30am.

FAQ's

FAQ’s: The small print!

Q: Can we take part in the fun run even if we don’t have a dog? A: Yes, you can take part even if you don’t have a dog.

Q: Do dogs need to be on leads? A: Yes dogs need to be kept on leads at all times.

Q: Will the event still go ahead if it’s raining? A: Yes.

Q: Will it be muddy? A: It may be muddy due to the nature of the venue but we will not be adding any mud ourselves.

Q: If we get muddy can we hose down somewhere afterwards?  A: We will not be providing anywhere to clean yourselves after the race so we recommend you bring towels, bin bags and a change of clothes just in case.

Q: Will water be provided? A: Yes, water will be provided for dogs and participants along the route and at the finish line. Paddling pools will be provided for dogs to cool down if necessary.

Q: Is the event suitable for young children? A: Yes, the obstacles will be very easy and suitable for all ages.

Q: Do children aged 12 & over pay the entry fee? A: Yes, they are classed as adults so will pay £10.

Q: I have a puppy, can I take part? Mucky Pup is not recommended for dogs younger than 1 year old.

Q: Is the event timed? Mucky Pup isn't timed, this makes it more fun!

Q: How about the poop?! Please pick up after your dog. Bins will be provided.

Q: Is there medical support at the event? First Aiders and a vet will be on site for emergencies.
