Sarah graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (University of Saskatchewan) in 2008. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at NYC Veterinary Specialists, and then a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, NY. She attained Diplomate Status with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2012, then spent a year studying Japanese tea ceremony as part of an intensive scholarship program in Kyoto, Japan followed by a short maternity cover in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Massey University (New Zealand). After three years in private specialty practice in San Francisco, she relocated to England to join the RVC Internal Medicine service in 2016. In 2017 also started working with the Oncology service, and became a Lecturer in Internal Medicine & Oncology in 2021.
