Rafiqul is a Departmental Technician working in Clinical science and services department with expertise in molecular biology and immunohistochemistry, COSHH regulations, health and safety and risk assessment and risk management. Recently Rafiqul started work with scientist in a newly created site "Stem cell Centre". He is trained and experinced dealing with cell culture.
Rafiqul gained a BSc in Biology and Chemistry & MSC in Biological science. He began his career as a Laboratory Technician at Basildon Dairy foods, where he was heavily involved in quality control, chemical and microbiological analysis of products. In 1995 he joined Raines dairy as a senior technician where he engaged in similar duties as well as monitoring standards as part of GMP and GLP. During this time he also developed further skills in food chemistry and microbiology at Reaseheath College, Cheshire. In 2002 he was promoted to the position of Microbiology Laboratory Team Leader at Yoplait Dairy Crest which involved supervising a group of laboratory technicians.
He joined The Royal Veterinary College in 2005 as Departmental Technician in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences.
Rafiqul as a departmental Technician, his main role is to support the researcher including undergraduate,graduate and pHD students as well as post docs and academic professionals.
Rafiqul has a publication"Beneficial Effects of Autologous Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal stem cells in Naturally Occuring Tendinopathy.which is published in FPLOS /ONE
