As an 'Anatomy Demonstrator' Helena is involved in delivering practical classes for the College's BVetMed, Graduate (Accelerated) BVetMed (GAB), Gateway and BSc Biological and Bioveterinary Sciences courses, including dissection, anatomy tutorials and animal handling. Helena is also an academic tutor to groups of students in the 1st and 2nd years of the BVetMed course .
Helena is a veterinary surgeon who qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017. Inititally she worked in farm animal practice in Cornwall, before returning to the RVC to teach. During her veterinary studies Helena gained an intercalated BSc from Imperial College in global health.

Helena is currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education at the RVC. In addition to her primary teaching role Helena is assisting in the delivery of the Interdisciplinary Food Systems Teaching and Learning (IFSTAL) programme, an interdisciplinary and cross-university food systems training programme addressing global food security and environmental change.
