Alex qualified as a vet from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007. Following an equine internship at the Sefton Equine Hospital, RVC and two years in large animal practise in Buckinghamshire, she moved to the USA and completed a Large Animal Internal Medicine Residency and Masters degree programme at the University of Minnesota. A Masters degree in neurology and neurodegeneration followed, from Kings' College London and she has now started a PhD focusing on the aetiology and pathophysiology of Recurrent Laryngeal Neuropathy in horses with Professor Richard Piercy, Comparative Neuromuscular Diseases laboratory at the RVC. Alex is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
