Which browser should I be using?

This site is optimized for Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator versions 4.0 or later. It will run in other browsers but you may experience some difficulties.

What is a PDF?

PDF stands for "Portable Document Format".This is a universal file format which enables a document to be viewed on a wide range of computer platforms with the text, layout and formatting preserved.

 

Why can't I open the PDF documents?

You need to download Acrobat Reader from the Adobe web site. This software is available for Macintosh and Windows users.

Once you have downloaded the installer, double-click on the file to start the installation process.

Why can't I open the video clips?

You need to download Windows Media Player from the Microsoft web site. This software is available for Macintosh and Windows users.

Once you have downloaded the installer, double-click on the file to start the installation process.

The final step is to install the appropriate video decompressor (669Kb).

Once you have downloaded the decompressor, double-click it to unzip*, and then double-click on "wmpcdcs8.exe" to update Windows Media Player.

This problem can occur with Internet Explorer 5.5.

To avoid the problem, right-click on the link to the video clip, and then click "Open in New Window".

 

Why doesn't the video play smoothly?

Windows Media Player for Windows 95 or NT does not smoothly buffer web video.

We suggest that you save the video clip to your hard drive for best performance. To do this, right-click on the link to the video clip and choose the appropriate option.

 

How do I play the video full-screen?

To view full-screen video click View -> Full Screen in the Windows Media Player. Press Escape to return to the original size.
