Over at the college’s foal intensive care unit, orphan foal Buddy’s making good progress. To help his recovery vet Kevin Corley’s found him a foster mother in Floss, another mare at the unit. Everything seems to be going well, when suddenly Buddy takes a dramatic turn for the worse as a rare complication of his original blood disorder poisons his body. The condition is so rare that in 14 years experience Kevin’s never seen it before. No-one knows if Buddy will make it…

Down at London Zoo, Sauna the Giant Anteater has a limp that’s worrying Zoo Vet Tai Strike. X-rays reveal new bone growth along her spine and a possible fracture. Sauna’s taken to the Royal Vet College for a CT Scan to confirm the diagnosis. If there is a fracture, she faces spinal surgery…
