Series 1 Episode Guide:
Super Vets
5 other horses and 2 dogs a jack Russell called spud and a Black Lab called Dexter
The best thing is they are great companions and give you so much back the worst is the cost you have to be prepared for now much money is involved in owning an animal and that’s not even including vet bills
Mango doesn’t take up much time as he is only young and lives out in the field with his mum, He is feed twice a day and I also check on them at lunchtime
Mango has no need to see the vet anymore as he is all better but when he is older he will need to start having his vaccinations and teeth checked
Mango is a bit to young to be having wormers and vaccinations as he is still on his mothers milk so gets everything he need through that but he has the farrier every 5 weeks where his feet are trimed
It wasn’t that bad I was just relieved to have him back, it was a great help that he had been handled so much as I was having to do daily checks on him and hand feed him his medication but Flo (his mother) was brilliant and just let me get on with everything
I think that pet insurance is vital there are many different insurance companies around so you don’t have to pay a fortune I have all my pets insured unfortunately Mango wasn’t insured as they won’t insure a foal until it is two weeks old and Mango was only a matter of hours when he was taken to hospital
All my pets are perfect to me and I wouldn’t change them for the world
Someone who understands their pets and realises its not always easy, as the old saying goes “pets are for life not just for Christmas”
