• Years 1 – 5 and the graduate entry year are all counted as long courses, and counted towards the SLC’s Long Course Loan (LCL).
  • The additional period spent on AHEMS/EMS is included when the RVC submits the course term dates to the SLC.
  • Students at the RVC who are eligible have already been receiving the LCL in previous years and this will continue to be the case going forward.
  • For students domiciled in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, this will mean an entitlement to any additional maintenance support associated with studying on a long course, according to their individual circumstances. These loans are means tested and therefore will automatically be allocated as part of the loan assessment.
