Biography

A veterinary medicine graduate from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007, Tori’s interest in research began during her undergraduate project "Examining the reliability of cervical vertebral radiography in the assessment of osteoarthritis". Following graduation, Tori spent a short time in small animal/equine practice in Kent before returning to the RVC as a Junior Clinical Training Scholar/Intern at the Equine Referral Hospital for 12 months.

Becoming interested in biomechanics through a personal friend and Taekwondo coach, Dr Cook of London South Bank University, she joined the Structure and Motion Lab as a PhD student studying “the effect of conformation on joint biomechanics in horses”. Tori was supervised by Dr Renate Weller and Professor Stephen May and sponsored by the Horserace Betting Levy Board.

Tori enjoys many sports, especially the martial art TaeKwonDo, where she has competed at both National and International level, in addition to running and dance.
