I am a qualified veterinarian (D.V.M.) and worked in equine practice for 9 years in Thailand. After I finished my master science degree (M.S.) in Theriogenology. I started to be a lecturer at Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University. In the meantime I worked for Thailand Equestrian Federation as a Team veterinarian as well. This is the reason why I wanted to learn more about structure and motion of the horse. The Royal Thai Government sponsored me to study my PhD at The Royal Veterinary College during 2005-2008. My research interest is the biomechanics of equine back and my supervisor was Dr. James Wakeling. On completion of my PhD, I returned to Thailand and I am working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University now. My current project is the study of blood parameters and muscle stiffness on thoroughbreds during incremental treadmill exercise test. I am working at the Equine Clinic as well, so I have less time for research at present. Email: Oi.ritruechai at gmail.com or vspattama at mahidol.ac.th
